Meet Dr. Jordan

Since earning his Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine from Texas A&M College of Veterinary Medicine, Dr. Jordan has practiced in the Houston area for over 30 years. In 1995, he moved his practice to central Houston to reach a larger, more diverse client base and opened Animal Medical Center of the Village.

Why Our Animal Hospital in Houston is Different

Since 1983, our hospital has been helping pets and people in Houston and its surrounding communities, and we hope to be here for many more years to come. We’re a diverse team of animal lovers dedicated to making everyone feel like family while they’re under our roof.

One of the most significant steps we’ve taken to exceed the expectations of our clients is becoming accredited by the American Animal Hospital Association (AAHA). This means that we adhere to the highest standards of care, service and technology in veterinary medicine. To learn more about our accreditation, visit our AAHA page.

Along with being AAHA-accredited, we also utilize cat friendly techniques to accommodate our feline patients. Our goal is to make them feel more comfortable and relaxed during their visits with us. See our Cat Friendly Techniques page to learn more.

We’re proud to welcome birds and exotics to our practice where they can receive essential care and be treated as if they were our own pets. Our hospital also works closely with the Wildlife Center of Texas to rehabilitate various species of wildlife that need our help.

Just the kindest, pet centered vets in town! They have been so responsive and so helpful...plus they treat exotics. Nice to have one place for all of our animals - Dachshund, Lab, Great Pyrenees and our Flemish Giant rabbit.

Brought my bearded dragon as a first time visitor. The staff was so nice and helpful! I felt very comfortable. The doctors and assistants were also knowledgeable and took time to make sure I was providing the right care for my Tomo.

I also love that you treat so many kinds of animals! We have taken you ferrets, a chicken, a pot bellied pig and ofcourse, dogs. You have done an excellent job with all. I would (and do often!) heartily recommend this clinic. Thank you being so good at your job!

Took our Berber Skink in this weekend and was totally impressed by the caring staff. Dr. Jordan did a great job in diagnosing Skittles' problems. Kim was very patient in explaining what we needed to do to bring him back to health. We would highly recommend them for all your pet family members.

Extremely professional staff, yet personable. Genuine care and concern is something that I noticed on my first visit, which will keep me coming back.

I took my lionhead dwarf rabbit for an initial wellness checkup today and loved Dr. Jordan and Kim! I'm glad to have established Kiki's care here and highly recommend Animal Medical Center of the Village!
