Our Commitment to Your Pets

The team at Animal Medical Center of the Village has been caring for pets of the Houston area since 1983. Since then, we have been dedicated to treating every pet owner with the utmost respect while providing the highest quality of care to their pets. Part of our goal is to nurture the human-animal bond and maintain an inviting atmosphere that’s both fun and professional. It was this mission that led to our becoming accredited with AAHA in 2007.

What Is AAHA?

AAHA stands for the American Animal Hospital Association, the renowned veterinary organization that was established in 1933 to help professionals all over the country to provide the best possible pet and client care. To do this, AAHA created a list of over 900 strict standards related to veterinary medicine, including surgery, patient care, dental care, and continuing education. These Standards of Excellence are regularly reviewed and updated to keep accredited practices on the cutting edge of veterinary excellence.

Animal hospitals in the United States and Canada can voluntarily be evaluated on these standards every three years to become AAHA accredited. To date, only 15% of veterinary practices have met the required standards to become accredited, and Animal Medical Center of the Village is proud to be part of that percentage.

What Our Accreditations Means to You

Our decision to become AAHA accredited demonstrates not only our commitment to excellence for your pet, but to you as a pet owner as well. We hold ourselves to a higher standard when it comes to veterinary care, providing your pet with the quality, compassionate care they deserve. As a full-service veterinary hospital, Animal Medical Center of the Village offers a variety of state-of-the-art services and uses the most modern equipment and techniques in the veterinary industry, based on AAHA’s high standards.
